PLANCKS, the Physics Students team competition, from the International Association of Physics Students, is back and will take place Online on 6 – 9 May 2021 and we need your help!

This edition has an extraordinary number of participants. With 50 competing teams and already more than 100 observers from all over the world, we are seeking volunteers to help us.

This a great opportunity to communicate with physics students outside your country, put your team work to the test and help us make this online edition one of the best. If you want to come on board in this adventure, you will need to assist us in all sorts of logistics and tasks.

Below you can see a list with some examples of what might be asked of you:

  • Supervise breakout rooms on Zoom or voice channels on Discord and create a comfortable environment with the participants assigned to you
  • Help the organising committee in the competition by answering possible questions/doubts the participants might have
  • Help the IT manager with technical problems
  • Be available for any urgent problem
  • Communicate effectively with the organising committee

All volunteers will have access to every activity planned.

Selection Criteria

Selection will be based on a first-come-first-served basis, with preference to those who are physics (or similar) students in Portugal, with good communication in English and Portuguese and who are available every day of the event.

We will inform the chosen volunteers by email and we expect you to reconfirm your intention in being one. After that, there will be a meeting to discuss further details.
